Frequently Asked Questions

Explore our FAQs to better understand the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) services we offer at Marton Support. We aim to provide clarity and support for participants, families, and partners navigating housing solutions.

What type of housing does Marton Support offer?

We offer Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) across all four design categories — Fully Accessible, Robust, High Physical Support, and Improved Liveability — with ongoing modification support as your needs change.

What's the difference between SDA and SIL?

SDA is the physical home — the bricks and mortar. SIL is the personal support and care you receive inside it. We keep the two separate, so you're always free to choose, or change, your support team without ever having to leave your home.

What are the steps to enrol an SDA dwelling?

Once the build/renovation is complete, your SDA Assessor issues a Final As-Built Certification, the dwelling is enrolled through the NDIS portal, and — by partnering with a registered provider like Marton Support — we help match it with the right participant.

Is building an SDA property a safe investment?

It does require more upfront capital — typically around $200K extra to meet NCC and NDIS standards — but in return, you get long-term, government-backed income. Because our model is entirely tenant-driven, we also help reduce your vacancy risk.
